The N.E.W. Program utilizes a multidisciplinary team that includes experts in bariatric
medicine, nutrition, exercise, clinical psychology, and laparoscopic surgery, and
as a result, our center offers one of the most extensive aftercare programs in America.
Patient education seminars, informal peer support groups and one-to-one counseling
are available for all patients.

For those considering bariatric surgery, we meet the 4th Tuesday of every month
at 7:00 PM at the Newport Beach office. For N.E.W. Program, we meet every Tuesday
at 5:30p.m. For N.E.W. Program Patients we meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every
month at 6:00 PM.

In 2005, we moved into our new, 7,000-square foot office in Newport Beach, just
off the 73 Freeway at Campus Drive. Our new bariatric center includes a patient
education center, an entire multidisciplinary clinical team, and is also the headquarters
for The American Foundation for Obesity Research (AFOR).
